HSE Services

We welcome new families to register with us. Our practice participates in the following schemes:

Pregnancy care: Pregnancy is a delicate time in a woman’s life. By ensuring high-quality and people-centred health services for mothers-to-be, health systems make a valuable investment, with benefits that go well beyond pregnancy. We help our patients to register for the Maternity and Infant Care Scheme.  On your first pregnancy visit, we provide an initial examination, ideally before 12 weeks of pregnancy, and a further 5 examinations, which are alternated with visits to the maternity unit/hospital.

Under six scheme: All children under 6 years of age living in Ireland can get a GP visit card. This scheme includes GP visits from the age of 2 and 5, your child is entitled to a periodic assessment. This simply involves the measurement of your child's weight and height by the practice.

Asthma Assessments: This service is tailored to children between 2 and 6 diagnosed with asthma. The scheme entails a special review 3 months after a new diagnosis, and an annual review.

Primary Immunisation programme: Immunisation is a safe and effective way to help the body prevent or fight off certain diseases. Immunisation is provided through vaccinations. Under the Childhood Immunisation Programme, all vaccines and their administration are provided free of charge for all children. Vaccines are provided in GP surgeries, in hospitals, in health clinics or in schools (depending on the circumstances)

Cervical Check Screening:  A cervical screening test checks the health of your cervix. Screening first looks to see if you have any of the high-risk types of human papillomavirus (HPV) that cause cervical cancer. If HPV is found, your same test sample will be checked to see if you have any abnormal (pre-cancerous) cells in your cervix. This is a new way of screening. It is called HPV cervical screening. It was introduced in Ireland in March 2020.
